    Manchester City are set to make a £71m bid for Juventus’s 22-year-old midfielder Paul Pogba.
    City will also bid for Wolfsburg’s 24-year-old attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, and return with an improved offer for Liverpool’s 20-year-old forward Raheem Sterling.

    Manchester United have made direct contact with Tottenham over signing striker Harry Kane, 21, for £40m as a long-term replacement for Wayne Rooney.
    Manchester United’s 31-year-old striker Robin van Persie has agreed a deal in principle over a transfer to Turkish club Fenerbahce. But the Dutchman wants United to pay out the final year of his contract, worth £12m, even though Fenerbahce will match his £250,000-a-week salary.
    Manchester United are planning to make an improved offer for Southampton’s 25-year-old defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, after seeing a £20m bid rejected.

    Chelsea will complete the signing of Stoke’s 28-year-old goalkeeper Asmir Begovic for £8m this week. The Blues are trying to wrap up the deal as soon as possible because United are also considering a move for the Bosnia international.

    Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona’s 27-year-old Spanish forward Pedro.
    Glen Johnson is in talks with West Ham. The 30-year-old defender is available on a free transfer after being released by Liverpool.
    Centre-half Martin Skrtel, 30, will sign a new three-year contract with Liverpool on Monday.

    Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has flown to Spain to finalise a deal with Atletico Madrid for their 26-year-old Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld, who spent last season on loan at Southampton.
