95% of the time a client has issues in their viewing it is due to hardware configuration at the client end ….

I shall try to go through a few scenarios in this thread to better clarify some of the common issues that you can expect to face in CS.

1- TUNER FAILED: This is a hardware issue that can be caused by any of the following; Dish Alignment, tuner configuration errors, faulty tuner, Channel frequency/transponder changes —- This is NOT a server error/fault

2- SOME PREMIUM CHANNELS ARE MISSING BUT NOT ALL: this is normally a configuration fault caused by either transponder or frequency change by supplier … easy fix is to either use an updated channel list or do a scan of channels after adjusting frequency/transponder settings … Most Enigma boxes now come with a very handy plugin called Autobouquet or Autobouquetmaker these when run will normally bring all your channels back.

3- GETTING SCRAMBLED MESSSAGE ON ALL PREMIUM CHANNELS: Not always a server issue (however check the server issue thread incase there is a problem reported on the forum: http://iaccess.co.uk/?topic=server-issues) … if nothing has been reported on the forum and you get this message then the first thing you need to check are your Network settings on your STB .. remember you need an active internet feed to connect to the servers, Check that you have DHCP as active in your network settings and that the box is picking up a valid local IP address from your network (192.168.*.*) … if you have an enigma box then do a network test to confirm all settings are correct. If it turns out that all checks are coming through as correct then check your line expiry date (has it expired?) if line has not expired then contact [email protected] stating your line details so that the line/server can be checked.

Also remember it’s worth rebooting everything – Modem, Router and box. When rebooting, leave everything off for about 30 seconds to give it time to fully power down

Think I have a STB network settings issue on my OB V5S, i have everything premium scrambled and my new N line is correctly installed. Admin advise that the server has never been activated as yet by my line, but it is fully active and able. My STB had a previous sub already installed when I got it, worked perfectly, on expiry I have deleted the line from CCCam and put the new line in at MGCamd, no problem. My V5S network settings show the correct IP for my router, the router is in full working order, my ethernet connection is showing Green, all plugged in correctly etc, etc. DHCP is on, settings are greyed out. The Wan and gateway settings are correct, but what I am not sure about is the 2 DNS settings? They are two different sets of numbers and I don’t know if they refer to the previous server, or my new one? Can anyone advise what the settings should read? Are they automatically set by the server once connected? Not sure at all on this issue.

How have you entered the line into your box? manually using remote or via usb update?

    Hi Suits,
Manually as per your tut. It does seem to be a comms problem, settings etc, but this box worked perfect under the line pre-installed when I bought it, so I know it’s not IP address, router etc.

    Hi,
Disabled the firewall on my router and the box is up and running, not sure if this was the problem as I’ve tried numerous setting changes, but hey…..I’m on. Thanks for help.
